Corbin,David A.&nbspLife,Work, and Rebellion in the Coal Fields.West Virginia University Press, 2015.

The book waswritten by Corbin who served in Senate for twenty-six years. His workexperience gave him an opportunity to analyze the American history ondifferent aspects thus gaining important information on thepredicament faced by coal miners in the 19th century. The coal minerswere fighting the oppression and between the year 1880 and 1922, theyengaged in strikes that led to many deaths and incarnation of thecoal miners (Spring 17). Corbin argues that the violent events weremilitant acts of aggression that depicted the decades of oppressionfaced by Americans in the hands of the few powerful people (Corbin57). The book is a viable source which will offer an insight on theoppression faced by various groups of laborers during the revolution.It explains deeply the factors that led to the oppression of the coalminers and how the government reacted to their strikes.

Waldramexplains the importance of healing the historical trauma that existsamong the aboriginal people. In this book, he describes thehistorical factors that led to the trauma suffered by the aboriginalpeople in the country. The American history was infamous on how ittreated the minority especially the natives in the country (Spring54). The author explains trauma that colonialism brought to them(Waldram 376). The book will be useful in the research as it willdiscuss the American history as far as the aboriginal people areconcerned. However, the limitation of the source is that it mostlyfocused on how the historical trauma can be eradicated while theresearch focuses on the history of the people of America.
