Thearticle describes all the standards meant for the correctionalfacilities. It also states the three primary goals that these centersshould provide. They include detaining those people who are a threatto the general public, manage the inmates in an efficient and humanemanner, and also provide critical services for them to make theirstay in the facility comfortable. Guidelines are provided regardingthe treatment of inmates while still in the custody of the lawenforcement officers.
