When students are through with educationin high school, they get to be awarded a diploma or a certificate.With a an awarded certificate one is eligible to join college oruniversity. The classes in the USA educational system are verydynamic in that students are expected to participate in class.Students ought to do presentations that are considered part andparcel of the system. Evidently,the growth and progress of Africa have dawdled behind as compared tothe other continents of the world. Most countries in Africa havestruggled to keep up with the standards set throughout the world.Colonialism played a vital part in influencing the education systemof the African continent. In the past education was through olderpeople teaching the younger generation on matters regarding theculture, norms, and traditions of the community. However, African hasgone a step further in improving its educations system (Ogunniyi &ampMarissa 72). Nonetheless, the system has not gotten to attain a worldclass level that is set by the USA and the rest of the developedcountries.

Accordingto United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO most children that need to attend school do not do so inAfrica. Unfortunately, it is so sad to hear of such a significantnumber of kids missing out on school. Most countries in Africa lackenough facilities and funding to facilitate the education system.They rely on grants from developed countries so as to facilitate theeducation programs. Leaders in the African countries have to be knownto be very corrupted and engaged in the embezzlement of funds meantfor children`s education.

Thestructure of education system is similar to that of USA in the mannerof the structure. Students are generally in school from the age ofseven to around nineteen years. A typical day in an African schoolstarts at around seven in the morning and proceeds up to theafternoon. However, it depends on with the age of children. Those inlower classes go home, but upper classes continue till evening aroundfive. The basic subjects taught include mathematics, science, andlanguages.

Oncestudents are done with high school which runs for four years, theymay decide to join college or work. Students may opt to pursuefurther studies by attending university or a college where theygraduate with a degree and diploma respectively.

Conclusion

Educationin Africa may not be at the same level with developed countries.Nonetheless, efforts and resources are being put in place to aid theschool system in Africa. Through the help from willing grantors, theeducation system can be considerably improved to aid the Africanstudent to get a quality education. The USA has had disparities inthat the kids from affluent neighborhoods have their schools get morefunding and adequate resources. However, the children from Hispanicbackgrounds are suffering from discrimination. The government maylook into these and pass policies that aim to end this disparity thatconfronts the education system in the USA.
