Cardiac, skeletal, and smooth muscles have different characteristics and rolesin the body of a human being. Particularly, skeletal muscles aid inmovements, smooth muscles protect the wall of hollow structures whilecardiac muscles help in the maintenance of blood supply. In adifferent perspective, men and women have dissimilar muscle mass dueto their physical orientation and hormones (Sherwood, 2015). Thepaper, therefore, discusses the student’s post on the difference incardiac, skeletal and smooth muscles as well as the disparity betweenmen and women in regards to muscle mass.

Skeletalvs. Smooth vs. Cardiac Muscles

Thestudent focuses on structure, activity, purpose and action of themuscles to determine their difference. In the case of skeletalmuscles, the pupil asserted that they are always striated under amicroscope, and they help in the body movement through thecontraction while their objectives are to overcome fatigue. Accordingto the discussion, it is not scientifically evident that skeletalmuscles are all over the body because they are not present in theinternal organs like intestine. Furthermore, it is true that smoothmuscles are involuntary, and they majorly exist in hollow structures.Lastly, cardiac of muscles are available in the heart and tips ofblood vessels. Concerning the discussion of the learner’s postsmuscles it evident that muscles have different roles and structures(Sherwood, 2015).

Menvs. Women and Muscle Mass

Thelearner argued that the different muscle mass of men and women are asa result of evolution and nature of work within the society. Thediscussion of the student post, dispute the evolution theory as thecause of differences in the muscle mass between men and women. However, a valid explanation for muscle mass dissimilarity in womenand men is due to hormonal disparities. In other words, women have alot of estrogens which increases their fat content while men havetestosterone which helps in muscle build up (Sherwood, 2015).

Conclusion

Itis worth noting that a human being has different muscles which havevaried roles in the system. Moreover, men have more muscle mass thanwomen because of their body structure. It is, therefore, relevant formen to regulate testosterone to ensure the build-up of muscles whilewomen require estrogen as their body is made up of more fat thanmuscles.

Informationis paramount in our current society, for it influences the targetaudience in one way or another either directly or indirectly. The actof capturing the attention of the target audience is often achallenge to many people. The message often has to be conveyed at theright time, condition and to the right audience for it to have atargeted impact. In this paper, we shall analyze how the speaker canimpact the audience through personal experiences, knowledge, andresearch to capture their attention and also give a summary of myfavorite readings this week.

Making anImpact Through Personal Knowledge and Experience

The advantagewith personal knowledge and experiences is that the speaker hasfirsthand information about a certain topic of interest, making themhave the right confidence and influence to their audience (Lucas,2008). The speaker can utilize stories, which impersonate him/herexperiences to keep the audience interested and create emotionalappeal. Also, the speaker should act natural, and relate his/herinformation with the existing facts but must add a personal touch toit, that way the audience can relate and also gain some insights fromthem.

ResearchInformation

Researchedinformation is also vital for it provides facts to a story, presentsthe existing problems and the potential solution to them. The speakercan utilize researched information to identify gaps that need to befilled in a certain area. Research also adds ideas to the topic thatthe speaker is addressing, and gives a wider scope and understandingto it (Lucas, 2008). The researched information should alwaysoriginate from credible sources to avoid misinforming the audience.Adequate research on a topic can enhance the confidence, and he/shecan freely ask the audience to refer when the given information isnot clear or adequate.

LessonsLearned

The readingsthat I found interesting is material gathering and speechorganization. To begin with, most speakers are not always confidentwhen presenting their work because they do not gather adequateinformation regarding a topic. I have learned that an effectivespeaker, always has all he/she requires, and it takes a lot ofresearch and dedication if one wants to make an impact. Also, speeches are critical for it reflects someone’s stand on aparticular issue. Therefore, it is very crucial for one to beorganized in the way they present their speeches, and also ensurethat the topic is relevant to the audience, if he/she wants tocapture their attention or create influence.

SkinCancer Types, Cells of Origin

Thethree kinds of cancer cells are the squamous cell melanoma, carcinoma, and the basal cell carcinoma. Cancer is a leading cause ofdeath (AmericanAcademy of Dermatology, 2017).The common types of cancers include the skin cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer. It is important that cancer is detected anddiagnosed in its early stages to increase the chances for completetreatment. Detection of cancer is mainly done through a laboratorytest. The two main types of skin cancer are non-melanoma andmelanoma. According to AmericanAcademy of Dermatology (2017),about 3.5 million people in the U.S. were diagnosed with non-melanomaskin cancer in 2012 as it is the most common type skin cancer. Cancerbegins with a lesion that is discolored. The best way to avoid skincancer is by staying away from direct UV rays from the sun (AmericanAcademy of Dermatology, 2017).However, should someone detect skin cancer, he or she should seekimmediate advice from a dermatologist.

Typesof Bones Cells and Function and Origin

Thereare three main types of cells found in the bone. Firstly, theosteoclasts are derived from monocyte-macrophage,and they have multiple nuclei. According to Florencio-Silva,Sasso, Sasso-Cerri, Simões &amp Cerri (2015), osteoclasts areresponsible for the initiation of bone degradation for remodeling.Besides, they increase their resorptive activity during pathogenicconditions so that they can mediate losses in the bone(Florencio-Silvaet al., 2015).Secondly, the osteoblasts are specialized mesenchymal cells thatundergo maturation process where genes such as osterix and combiningfactor alpha 1 have a vital function. According to Ikeda &ampTakeshita (2014), their primary responsibility is the formation ofbones. Lastly, the osteocytes are located within the bone and risefrom osteoblasts which are incorporated into the bone matrix(Florencio-Silvaet al., 2015).They direct to the part of the bone where the osteoclasts are likelyto dissolve by detecting cracks or changes in pressure.
