Evidence-Based Nursing

Nursingrelies on proof to evaluate the best techniques and methods forfacilitating patient care. Clinical research is conducted to achieveoptimal health care. Healthcare systems develop and implementpolicies that solve various nursing issues (Spath, 2012). The paperdiscusses a clinical issue that has an evidence base.

Patientsatisfaction is an issue witnessed in a clinical setting that has anevidence base. The achievement of a patient satisfaction requires theconsideration of patient values, clinical expertise, and researchevidence (Spath, 2012). Decision making concerning patient care isbased on clinical evidence.

Skillsand time hinder the application of evidence-based practice.Practitioners may have limited time to perform a clinical research. Moreover, nurses may lack the skills needed to acquire and analyzedata. Furthermore, healthcare providers may not have advanced toolsneeded to conduct a clinical research (DiCenso, Guyatt, &ampCiliska, 2014). As a result, inaccurate patient results areidentified that hinder the success of the clinical practice.

HRSAutilizes a toolkit that helps in enhancing the quality of medicalservices. Proven techniques and methods are incorporated in thetoolkit that supports quality improvement programs (Rao, 2015).Adaptable resources are offered that help in monitoring patient care.Patient outcomes are therefore, improved using the quality monitoringprograms.

Iam attracted in assuming a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). The role willenable me to enhance patient care. Besides, the CNL role will give methe chance to guide nurses and share skills needed to enhancehealthcare system (Harris, Roussel, &amp Thomas, 2016). Therefore, quality medical services will be provided, and promoted.

Benchmarking ways can be employed in nursing to analyze theeffectiveness of quality improvement processes. The technique is usedto measure and compare outcomes of the best performers with those forthe quality improvement processes (DiCenso, Guyatt, &amp Ciliska,2014). Scientific evidence can also be used to determine theeffectiveness of the processes.

Inconclusion, evidence-based nursing is a strategy that ensures thatpatient satisfaction is achieved. Scientific evidence evaluates anddetermines the effectiveness of nursing practices based on thepatient outcomes. Research in nursing should apply evidence-basedapproaches because they are effective in advancing quality ofservices.
