Thepost focuses on Epstein – Barr virus. Most importantly, the disease(infectious mononucleosis) and mode of transmission (through kissingand intimate contact) have been discussed. The target group are theadolescents and young adults. The typical characteristics of thevirus are stated as being spiky, enveloped and double-stranded. Theepidemiological aspects of the virus have been well stated, withalmost every country being affected. Finally, the symptoms of theinfection have been noted to resemble those of cold or other mildviral infections. Blood and antibody tests are useful for diagnosis(Centersfor Disease Control and Prevention, 2016).
