ClimateChange

Climatechange can be considered as the modification taking place within theclimate patters of a region that started being apparent in the mid tolate 20th century. These changes are manifested as a result ofincreased temperature in the lower atmosphere due to increasedconcentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which is produceddue to the burning of fossil fuels. Climate affects several sectorsin the economy since it has a significant role in shaping humaneconomies and natural ecosystem that depend on it. Due to rapidchange in climate, American has witnessed divergent opinion relatedto this issue, especially during the administration of PresidentDonald Trump.

PartI: Changes since the First Write Up

Climatechange is happening, and it is a global issue that cannot be avoideddespite being termed by President Trump as a hoax. The heat in theearth continues to accumulate due to increasing levels of carbondioxide and other heat-trapping gasses that are found in the loweratmosphere. The increase of heat of the earth has a diverse impact, such as unpredicted rainfalls and floods, extreme storms, rising ofsea levels, melting of snow and ice from the mountain tops, extremeevents, including fires and droughts. It is anticipated that theeffect will continue to increase in coming years and more risk willbe posed to human health, agriculture, forests, coastlines, andnatural resources.

Duringthe regime of President Obama, policies were introduced that weretargeting lowering the emission of greenhouses in the atmosphere, andthe move was most welcomed since America act as the source whiledeveloping nations act as a sink. When President Donald Trump gainedpower, he is planning to introduce a policy that would likely shrinkthe role that climate change plays in decision across the government. The policy is expected to reverse the broad approach that was beingtaken by President Obama to address the issue of climate change.According to environmentalists, the action taken by President Trumpwill eradicate the international leadership the U.S. has playedaddressing climate change and educate other nations on how to reducegreenhouse emission since they are the primary driver of thephenomena.

Theissue of climate change has evolved during the past period withvarious stakeholders supporting and disproving the issue. Forinstance, President Trump administration claims that climate changeis not an issue and he referred to it as a hoax. The argument givento disprove the issue is that climate change is an imaginativephenomenon that was developed by the human being and it does notexist in reality. On the other hand, environmentalists are in supportof the move that was introduced by the regime of President Obama tocurb climate change. For example, they advocate for the Clean PowerPlan that was introduced by President Obama that complies states toreduce the use of coal-fired electricity.

PartII: Values

Thecurrent administration of President Trump should consider introducingregulations that are more progressive rather than retrogressive one.The actions that were being taken by President Obama could help tocurb the impact of climate change, and President Trump administrationshould consider improving them rather than abolishing them. Forexample, Trump Administration should encourage all states to embracethe use of a clean source of energy that is free from pollutionrather than opening more coal mine to boost power in the country.Additionally, more funds need to be allocated to help fight the issueof climate change since most developing nation are suffering from thephenomenon and they do not contribute much to greenhouse emission.

Theissue of climate change is very critical and significant to me sinceit is connected to numerous systems. Climate change has an impact onvarious aspects, for example, it determines where and how animals, human and plants live, which are influenced by food production, thepresence of water, and health risks. Similarly, when there is aslight change in the normal timing of rains and temperature that cangreatly influence when plants bloom and set fruit or when an insecthatch. In case the climate variation was short is could be considerednormal, but it has been established to be a long-term phenomenon thusposing dangers in the ecosystem.

Fromthe new regulations that are likely to emerge from the administrationof President Trump would result in diverse changes as far as climatechange is concerned. First, when more coal mine is opened up morepeople are going to use it, and that will lead to higherconcentration of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere leading tohigher temperatures. Secondly, when the government fails toacknowledge that climate change is as a result of human activity anddoes not view it as reality, then citizens will embark on fuel thatpollutes the environment since they are cheap. As a result, the trendof climate change will continue to increase, and it will reach apoint that it cannot be reversed but it will be too late.

PartII: Scenario Planning

Whenthe policy of President Trump is introduced that would encourage theuse of coal and does not recognize climate change as a reality, thenthe entire world will face the threatening impact of climate change.Additionally, the policy will enhance the introduction of greenhousegasses into the atmosphere through anthropogenic processes. Forexample, when coal is used, it will increase the concentrations ofcarbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses, and this has analteration effect on the concentration of aerosols and reflectivityof Earth`s surface due to changes in the land cover.

Figure(1) showing the exchange of heat within the atmosphere

Onegood thing that would be experienced over the next four years on twodivergent directions the trump administration could take includesenhanced development as energy plays a critical role in the economy.Investors will be able to use cheap energy, and that will help themto cut the cost of production, and that will imply that there will bemore revenue collected from the federal government. On the otherhand, one bad thing that will be experienced is the increased globalwarming in most parts of the world. There will be massive destructionof the ecosystem and after a period of four years correcting it willrequire a lot of funds.

Conclusion

Climatechange can be considered an increase in the temperatures that can becaused by human activities and natural process. Climate change is areal phenomenon that requires the federal government to take anactive role to reduce its impact. The regulations that are introducedby the Trump administration will not bring many benefits but willcontinue to worsen the situation. Instead of taking divergentdirection as far as climate change is concerned, Trump shouldconsider enforcing the laws that were implemented during PresidentObama administration.

TheDifferent Types of Fractures

Thevideo selected was generated by Robert Meraz, and he shows variedtypes of fractures that can take place on the skeletal system. Thepresenter indicated that the human skeletal system is made up of 260bones and they are very significant in support, movement and protectthe internal organs of the body. The bones that are found in the bodybreak differently and that lead to different types of fractures asshown in the video. Fracture is caused when the bone is subjected tointense pressure. Hence, a person can experience a fracture due tofalling, struck by an object or twisting of the bone. The followingare examples of fractures: displaced and non-displaced fracture, closed fracture, compound fracture, inverse breakages, comminutedbreakage, greenstick breakage, spiral breakage, Colles breakage, stress breakage, vertebral compression breakage, Pott fracture andepiphyseal breakage.

Thetopic of different types of fracture is significant in my futurecareer as a physical therapy since it will help me improve function, mobility and the quality of life through physical intervention, prognosis, diagnosis, and examination (Parra, Bradford, Clark,Racette &amp Deusinger, 2017). The topic is also important to myfuture career as it will provide me with an in-depth understanding ofdifferent fractures and how to manage such condition. Secondly, I canapply this topic of anatomy to my community by helping individualswho have fractures and assist them to recover. Additionally, I willprovide education in my community so that they can have the skills toprevent and be able to manage their condition for the sake to realizelong-term health benefits. The knowledge gained from the topic can beapplied in different settings in the community, such as hospitals, schools, home health care agencies, outpatient clinic, nursing homes, sports and fitness facilities (Parra et al., 2017).
